ESSENTIALS FOR AI SUCCESS: HOW TO USE THE DATA FLYWHEEL WITHIN AN INTEGRATED ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE STRATEGY
Breakthroughs with artificial intelligence are happening across multiple industries. However executives are learning that a robust AI strategy is needed to successfully make these impacts happen at scale.
In this article I explain how a concept called the data flywheel can be used to build an integrated AI strategy in organisations where the focus is on delivering products or services at scale. I highlight how we’ve used the approach successfully at Quby and share three ingredients we’ve found to be essential for AI success: acquiring labelled data, using multidisciplinary teams and the role of the CDO for AI leadership.
Empowering households to reduce energy waste by making data science end-user friendly
Though energy waste is largely invisible to the average citizen, it is a big problem for our planet. The global consumption of energy is the driver of this issue: consumption exceeds sustainable production. This drives energy companies to extract more resources at an uncertain cost. In the Netherlands we see the effect of this phenomenon up close as the city of Groningen is literally shaking because of the overextraction of natural gas.
This article describes how Quby uses data science to make daily lives in Dutch households easier and more sustainable by giving insight into energy usage and energy waste.
